How to use Overlay Graphics |
Although not the most exciting example of how you might use this feature it demonstrates the power of using an overlay image for your captured images. Each webcam can be assigned a different overlay image. All text overlays are placed on the image after the overlay graphics. The Overlay used below is available in the Overlay directory [red_yellow.bmp]. You can use any colour as the transparent colour, but don't forget that all areas of that colour will be transparent and allow the picture underneath to show through, so make sure that the transparent colour is unique within the image. |

The overlay image is not streteched (or reduced) to fit the final output image, so make sure the overlay graphic you choose is the same size as that of the final output image (the default output image is 352 x 288 pixels, but this can be altered for each webcam). |
From 1.7beta onwards, you have the ability to set the overlay images as transparent (alpha blending). This gives you much more control over the output images and can help you create some real nice effects. There is also the ability to have any overlay text transparent too. |
